The Julie Hughes Triathlon, dedicated in 1985 to the wonderful spirit of Julie who we lost to cancer at the all too young age of 16. The event consists of a 5 mile run, 14 mile bike ride, and 1,000 yard swim. There is a special short course for the 12 & under participants. Athletes can compete on a team or as an individual. The Ocean Wave Quilt Guild presents its annual free quilt show on the first floor of Whitmore Hall on the historic former Sheldon Jackson College Campus. The theme of the show is "Repurpose" and it feautres quilts not previously displayed by the group.
Showcasing internationally acclaimed classical musicians for a month of world class chamber music. Concerts and events are scheduled six days per week in a variety of locations across town. Formal concerts are on Friday and Saturday evenings. Other activities include lunchtime concerts, Family Concert with root beer floats, crab feed, and boat cruise.
