The 2012 Sitka Picture Perfect Photo Contest opens March 1, 2012. Entries must be received no later than December 1, 2012. Eligibility includes both amateur and professional photographers of any age. Anyone is eligible to enter the contest.
SUBMISSIONS
All photos must be of Sitka, Baranof Island or Sitka Sound. Submit photos to scvb@sitka.org in a .jpg or .jpeg format, no prints or film submissions will be accepted. Submitted image resolution MUST BE be a minimum of 300 dpi. Uploaded images need to be 900 pixels wide or 1500 pixels tall for consideration. Please include your name, phone number, where you are from, details about the picture and what category you would like the picture submitted to. We will be placing select photos onto our website so check back often to see if yours is featured! Winners of the Sitka Picture Perfect Photo Contest will be chosen mid-December, 2012 and will be notified by email.

HOW MANY PHOTOS MAY I SUBMIT?
Up to 5 per category (20 total).

WHAT RIGHTS DOES THE SITKA CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU (SCVB) HAVE WITH SUBMISSIONS?
The SCVB will have the right to use your image(s) in the Sitka Picture Perfect Photo Contest, in any media now or hereafter.
WILL I NEED A MODEL RELEASE?
Yes. Each photograph that includes identifiable people must be accompanied by a separate, signed release from EACH identifiable person in the photograph. Releases that cannot be verified for authenticity by the SCVB, for any reason (including missing, incorrect or incomplete contact information on the release form) will result in the disqualification of the entry. If you have identifiable people in your picture, please have a signed release from EACH person; have this release handy as we will be making verifications with the winning entries.
PHOTO CREDIT IT NOT GUARANTEED FOR ALL USES OF IMAGES BY SCVB.
RETURNS
No entry will be returned, and all entries become the property of the SCVB. They will be added to the permanent SCVB photo collection and will be used as the organization sees fit. Giving photo credit will be attempted when a photograph is used as a major image in SCVB publications. It must be understood that the SCVB gives promotional photos out to media, writers and other organizations, and they cannot be held responsible when photo credit it not given to the photographer for his or her work.
